Anime Expo is done and back to our normal lives. There are a lot of things to say about the trip, don't know if I can tell this tale at full length but here is the story.

First part is the people I've met. As always AX is filled with a lot of DeviantArt artists in the artist alley. Some I recognized by art some I know by their business cards. Can't say I've say hi to all of them but I did get to hang out with some of them a bit. I've met , , , , , , , , , , ... etc. I think there are more but these are whom I actually kinda spent some times with.

This part is about events. I didn't personally gone to many but went to AMV contest and Masquerade. AMV was pretty cool with some nicely done and some are just confusing. A friend of mine said some entries filled too much crap between the gap with effects and cheap tricks that made them looked flashy and pro-like when they're not. I don't know much about making AMVs but I do see too many things going on on some of the entries that were too chaotic.

The Masquerade this year was not as great as previous years. I went to watch it a bit with :iconrunee-chan: before she left to the maid cafe event. My friends and I left the masquerade early because it wasn't as nice and they were disturbed by some of the entry cosplayers. Looks to me my friends have very high demands on events.

Artist Alley selling experience can't say I've made a lot of money or sold much of my prints or comics. First year done this without overhead or better images or more fanarts can be pretty tough. Most people bought bookmarks and keychains from me and very few bought some prints. My two plushies Mr. Steve and Arch worked as volunteers to work at my booth until I sold Mr. Steve to . Arch is still here since she didn't attracts interest. I reduced the price bottom low and next time I'll know how to make it better.

Mostly just chit-chats with my neighbor's booth which they were making lots of plushies. I even commission them to make a blue mouse for me and I thought it's really cute. The plushie is on my bed at the moment.

What I did at the convention break time when I'm not around my AA table? I went on walking around the exhibition hall and chit-chat with other artists and take photos of cosplayers and other people. First few days I pretty much chat and visited and at their table. I must say they both looked great as they cosplay. Kinda fun meeting them girls and their mom. She's really nice and it's quite easy to chat with them because we're just down the same row. Bought one of their print and got a bag with their work on it. The next day I took a photo with them and seems like they weren't around on Sunday or probably decided to visit the exhibition hall stores.

came by a few times and he only got to stayed until Friday and bought Mr. Steve with him. came afterward and I didn't recognize him until he told me who he was, he kept me updated on the art books while I was at the table. He had to leave a day early because the hotel room check-out day was on Saturday because some mistakes from his brother.

actually was there on Saturday but I wasn't at my table while she came by so I didn't get to see her until Sunday near the end of the convention time. Good thing we got to take a photo. working as staff this year and I saw her during the waiting line while we were getting the badges, she didn't know and I wasn't sure if that was her. She came by the table during her break or off hours and just chat a little. On Sunday finally snapped a photo with her too.

came to greet me and I can't say I wasn't surprised. I think he was surprised about me too because I got accent when I talk. Mostly we hung out some during the breaks and chat some when we're not doing anything. Went to Copic's booth during the raffle time, kinda wanted to get an art there but the one I wanted was too expensive.

While playing PSP at the table, shown up with her friend and it has been years since I last saw her in high school. She didn't stay around long because she was busy traveling down the AA area and exhibition hall buying goods because she's only there for a day. I was gonna take a photo with her but wasn't able to, my sister on the other hand, got a photo with her which I think it's a nice thing.

I went to too but not sure if she remembers me from last year. She was busy with other customers so I didn't really stay around long there.

In AA list I saw 's name on it so I went to visit her. I was gonna meet her about several years ago when she was working as a staff in AX but didn't get to. I would say rest of Saturday and Sunday I was at their table. Seems like her b/f and I have several things in common but I can't really compete with his ability as chatterbox, learned a lot of things about games and anime from him. Bought some nice things from her table too.

At this AX spent about $240 total, 2 art books cost about 80 something, rest of the things are just small things like prints and keychains from AA and some other things like food and parking and bought stuff from other dealers. Didn't get any figurines this year which saves a lot more than previous AX. There are some figurines I wanted to buy but not sure if they're worth the price.

Thinking about attending other small cons in CA but not sure which conventions.
It's about 2am here and I'll get some rest.
